Canada's Only Ashoka U Changemaker College
Georgian is the first and only college in Canada to hold the Ashoka U Changemaker designation. This means programmes are built around real-world problem-solving and social innovation. Seven Campuses Across Central Ontario
Georgian has seven campuses — Barrie, Orillia, Owen Sound, Midland, Muskoka, South Georgian Bay, and Orangeville. Many programmes are available at more than one location. Students can choose their campus based on lifestyle, cost of living, and how close they want to be to specific industries. Specialized trades, marine, and automotive programmes are offered at campuses located within those regional industries.
Barrie is Affordable and 90 Minutes from Toronto
Barrie is roughly 90 minutes from Toronto by GO Transit. Students get access to Greater Toronto Area employers without paying Toronto living costs. Diploma programmes start at $16,990 per year. Graduate certificates start at $17,900. The surrounding region offers skiing at Collingwood, boating on Georgian Bay, and outdoor access that most college towns cannot match.

Certificate and Diploma Programmes:
Academic:

Scholarships at Georgian College
International Entrance Scholarship
- Offers a CAD $3,000 one-time scholarship for eligible international students.
- Available for students starting a 2-year or 3-year Diploma or Advanced Diploma programme.
- Eligible intakes include Summer 2026, Fall 2026 and Winter 2027.
- Students must meet Georgian College’s admission and scholarship eligibility requirements.
- Scholarship consideration is automatic with the admission application.
International Entrance Scholarship
- Provides a CAD $4,000 one-time scholarship.
- Available for new international students entering eligible 2-year Degree or Graduate Certificate programmes.
- Applies to selected eligible intakes.
- Students are automatically considered when applying for admission.
- Designed to support students pursuing advanced academic and professional qualifications in Canada.
International Entrance Scholarship
- Offers a CAD $250 one-time scholarship.
- Available to new international students enrolling in a 1-year Graduate Certificate programme.
- Applicable for eligible intake periods.

International Education and Training Entrance Scholarship

Room C279, Barrie campus. Phone 705-722-5158. Open Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4pm. Handles pre-arrival forms, study permits, health insurance and arrival support.
Counselling and mental health
Free and confidential counselling for all students. Individual sessions for personal concerns, mental health and crisis support.
Tutoring and Writing Centre
Free tutoring through Library and Learning Services. Writing Centre helps with assignments, APA citations and paper feedback.
Accessibility Advising
Individual accommodations for students with physical, medical, sensory, mental health or learning barriers.
Health and wellness
Sadlon Centre for Health and Wellness hosts teaching clinics in dental hygiene and massage therapy. Guard.me insurance covers emergency care from day one.
