Entry Requirements

Foundation Programmes:
  • Academic: 4 credits at SPM/O-Level/IGCSE/UEC level (overall pass).
  • English: IELTS 5.0 overall; TOEFL iBT 40; PTE 47; MUET Band 3.5; or pass SPM/O-Level English.
  • Note: Foundation in Engineering requires a credit in Mathematics and Science.
Diploma Programmes:
  • Academic: 3 credits at SPM/O-Level/IGCSE/UEC level.
  • English: IELTS 5.0 (no band below 5.0); TOEFL iBT 40; PTE 47; MUET Band 3.5.
  • Note: IT/Computing/Engineering diplomas require a Mathematics credit.
Bachelor's Degrees:
  • Academic: STPM 2C+ (6 points); A-Level 2E (10 points); UEC aggregate 20 or better; IB 25 points; Foundation CGPA ≥2.00; Diploma CGPA ≥2.00 in a related field.
  • English: IELTS 5.5 (minimum 5.5 all bands); TOEFL iBT 46; PTE 47; Cambridge 154; MUET Band 3.
  • Note: Engineering requires Mathematics and Physics at STPM/A-Level; Law requires IELTS 6.0 and Foundation CGPA ≥2.50.
Master's Degrees:
  • Academic: Bachelor's degree CGPA ≥2.50 from a recognized institution (related field required for specialized programmes).
  • English: IELTS 6.0 (no band below 6.0); TOEFL iBT 60; PTE 59; Cambridge 169; MUET Band 4.
  • Note: MBA prefers work experience. Research programmes require a proposal and an interview.
Alternative English tests accepted:

TOEFL Essentials-Online, Cambridge English CAE & CPE, Duolingo (contact UOW Malaysia for specific score requirements).
