Why Choose University of Hertfordshire - Ed Tech?

Only UK University to Win the King's Award in 2024

Only UK University to Win the King's Award in 2024

This is a royal honour given by the UK government for outstanding achievement in international trade. Out of every university in the country, Hertfordshire was the only one to receive it in 2024. For a student choosing where to invest in their education, it is a signal that this university takes its global reputation seriously and backs it with real results.

A Graduate in Every UK Formula 1 Team

A Graduate in Every UK Formula 1 Team

Hertfordshire engineering students participate in the Formula Student racing team, ranked 26th in the world, and the university has produced graduates who now work in every British F1 operation. On the creative side, students and alumni have contributed visual effects work to Harry Potter, X-Men and Captain America. These are not aspirational claims — they are the actual careers this university produces.

96% Employed Within 6 Months

96% Employed Within 6 Months

Over 96% of Hertfordshire graduates are in work or further study within six months, the strongest outcome in the region. TEF 2023 rated the university Silver for both student experience and student outcomes, noting very high continuation and progression rates. When a student and their family are spending £15,000 a year on tuition, this number matters.

Campus Life With London 25 Minutes Away

Campus Life With London 25 Minutes Away

The two campuses cover 125 acres of green space in Hatfield, with more than £120 million invested in facilities over the last decade. The Law School has a full replica Crown Court. The Sports Village has a pool, gym and pitches. And from Hatfield station, London King's Cross is 25 minutes away by direct train, which means London employers, internships and industry events are accessible throughout the degree.

Fees 15% Lower Than London

Fees 15% Lower Than London

Living outside London means the UKVI maintenance requirement is £1,171 a month rather than £1,529, saving over £3,000 in required funds across nine months alone. Undergraduate fees are around £15,500 a year, below most London universities. The 20% International Partner Discount, 20% Graduate Scholarship for UH alumni progressing to postgraduate, and up to £4,000 Chancellor's Scholarship can reduce costs further.
