Why Choose University of East London?
1. The fastest improvement in graduate employability in the UK
UEL jumped over 25 percentage points in the Graduate Outcomes Survey 2025, the largest improvement of any university in England. 90% of graduates across 17 subjects are in work or further study within six months. Civil Engineering graduates average £30,000 within 15 months of finishing.
2. Subject teaching ranked top in the UK
NSS 2025 placed UEL 1st in the UK across 8 categories for Business Management and 1st nationally for Childhood and Youth Studies. Applied Psychology, Adult Nursing and Biomedical Science all rank 1st in London for teaching quality. Students rated UEL 16 points above the sector average for connecting teaching to real-world placements.
3. Work experience built into every degree
Every UEL degree includes the Careers Guarantee: mandatory work placements, live employer briefs and industry-standard projects built into the curriculum. 92% of students rated their placements valuable in NSS 2025. The Graduate Success Service extends careers support for 18 months after graduation.
4. London fees without the London price tag
International undergraduates pay £15,560 a year, well below the £20,000+ typical at central London universities. On-campus accommodation starts at £182 a week, with utilities included. Automatic scholarships of up to £5,000 reduce first-year costs further.
5. Two modern campuses in connected east London
Docklands sits on the Royal Docks, 20 minutes from Canary Wharf. Stratford puts students next to the Olympic Park and one of London's busiest transport hubs. Both campuses received £170 million in facilities investment, covering clinical simulation suites, sports science labs and TV studios.
