Why Choose University of East Anglia?
Guaranteed Progression via INTO Partnership
Completing an INTO Foundation, International Year One, or Pre-Master's with a 65%+ average and 90% attendance results in an automatic CAS for the UEA degree. There is no re-application, no admissions interview, and no additional testing required, eliminating uncertainty for international students.
Top Research Excellence in Sustainability & Climate Science
UEA is ranked in the world top 40 for sustainability (THE Impact Rankings 2024). It hosts three flagship research themes: ClimateUEA, HealthUEA, and CreativeUEA. Students access world-class facilities including wind tunnels, 3D printing centres, and an operating hospital, alongside adjacent research institutes like the John Innes Centre.
Strong Graduate Outcomes & Employability
78% of graduates are in professional-level work or further study within 15 months. Ranked 21st in the UK for employability, UEA connects students with top recruiters like Google, Microsoft, and the NHS. Career support is embedded from day one, with paid summer placements available (£15,000–25,000).
INTO Live-Learn Model – Integrated Campus Experience
The INTO International Study Centre is fully integrated within the UEA campus. Accommodation, classrooms, and 24/7 support are in the same building. Students have full access to UEA facilities (library, sports, societies) from day one, ensuring a seamless transition to university life.
Cost Advantage – Norwich vs London
Norwich is 39–44% cheaper than London. On-campus accommodation costs £91–150/week (vs London £150–200+). Total living costs are estimated at £9,500–15,500/year, making it a highly affordable option for international students
Generous Automatic Scholarship
Students are eligible for the INTO Progression Scholarship (£4,000/year) upon successful pathway completion. Additionally, International UG Merit Scholarships (£5,000/year) and PG Merit Scholarships (up to £7,000) are auto-considered
