Why Choose University Canada West (UCW)?
Canada’s First Private University with ACBSP Business Accreditation
UCW holds ACBSP accreditation for both its undergraduate and graduate business programmes — BCom, BABC and MBA — making it the first private university in Canada to receive this designation. ACBSP evaluates teaching quality, student outcomes and continuous improvement, giving UCW’s curriculum internationally recognised standards that most private institutions cannot claim.
Four Intakes Per Year
UCW admits students in Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. Students who miss one intake wait a maximum of three months before the next opens. This is particularly practical for students finishing secondary school or undergraduate study at non-standard times, or for those managing study permit processing delays.
92% MBA Alumni Employment Rate
UCW’s MBA alumni employment rate is 92%, based on a December 2025 survey. The MBA is ACBSP-accredited and available on-campus and online, with multiple admission routes for candidates with or without GMAT scores — including pathways for those holding a professional designation (CPA, P.Eng., CHRP) or with 3+ years of management experience.
Built-In English Pathway
UCW’s University Access Program (UAP) is accredited by Languages Canada and provides an internal English route for undergraduate applicants. Students who complete UAC 030 (the advanced level) meet UCW’s undergraduate English requirement without an external IELTS or TOEFL score. MBA applicants must meet English requirements directly at the time of application.
Two Campuses at the Centre of Vancouver’s Business District
Both campuses are in downtown Vancouver — the Pender campus in the historic London Building and the Vancouver House campus opened in 2020. Being in the financial and tech district means employers, professional networks and firms in consulting, finance and marketing are accessible without leaving the city centre, which matters for a business-focused degree.
