Why Choose South East Technological University (SETU)?
1. Fees You Can Actually Plan Around
Most Dublin universities charge €16,000 to €25,000 a year for similar programmes. SETU's fees sit between €13,500 and €15,000 depending on your level and subject, all published in one schedule before you apply. No hidden lab fees, no mid-year surprises.
2. Scholarships That Come to You
You do not need to apply separately for anything. Every non-EU student gets an automatic Entry Award of 7 to 30 percent off tuition based on their academic profile. High achievers can also apply for the IAES, which goes up to a full 100 percent tuition waiver. Completing two years at SETU before moving to postgraduate unlocks EU rate fees as well.
3. A Careers Team That Wins Every Year
SETU's Careers Centre has taken the AHECS national employability award six years in a row. Their Feature Friday programme brought 196 employers directly to campus in two years. Eight out of ten Irish TU graduates are in work within nine months of finishing their degree
4. Courses You Will Not Find Anywhere
SETU is the only university outside Dublin with an RIAI-accredited B.Arch, and the only one in Ireland offering an MSc in Flight Test Engineering. Its pharma regulatory programmes feed directly into Ireland's €13 billion pharmaceutical export sector. These are not generic options.
5. Your Budget Goes Further in the South-East
Living in Waterford or Carlow costs 20 to 30 percent less than Dublin. On-campus Waterford residences bundle Wi-Fi, heating and security into rent that starts at €5,165 a year, making your total annual budget genuinely manageable
