Entry Requirements

All Programs General Requirements:
  • Minimum age 18 at commencement
  • May require informal interview with Ikon representative (videoconference if offshore)
  • Certified academic transcripts with English translations
  • Passport copy, English test results (within 2 years)
English Language Proficiency:
  • IELTS Academic/TOEFL iBT/PTE Academic accepted
  • Alternative: 5 years English-medium primary/secondary education, Australian Year 12 equivalent, previous studies where English was primary instruction language
  • Diploma programs: Estimated IELTS 5.5-6.0 overall
  • Bachelor programs: Estimated IELTS 6.0-6.5 overall
  • Master programs: Estimated IELTS 6.5-7.0 overall
Academic Requirements:
  • Diploma (1-2 years): Australian Year 12 or equivalent international qualification, relevant work/life experience considered
  • Bachelor (3-4 years): Australian Year 12 or equivalent, relevant diploma may provide credit transfer
  • Master (1.4-2 years): Australian Bachelor degree or equivalent international qualification, relevant undergraduate qualification in related field preferred
Additional Requirements:
  • Early Childhood Education & Teaching: Professional placements required (some full-time), criminal checks/Working with Children checks, first aid certification
  • Counselling/Psychotherapy/Arts Therapy: Supervised practice placements, police checks for sites, personal suitability assessment for working with vulnerable populations
